Macadamia industry is looking for historic documents

The organisers of the International Macadamia Symposium in Yunnan in October this year are planning to mount a display of the history of the global macadamia industry.

They has asked for help in sourcing historical artefacts, photos, information and stories.

In particular they are looking:
for photos of the earliest introduction of macadamias into your country or growing region
photos and short stories of key people involved in the early development of the industry
any artefacts, equipment or records of early plantings, processing or research
any examples of early or current macadamia products

Any items could either be loaned or donated and I understand there may be assistance available to ship items to Yunnan if required. Copies are certainly acceptable rather than sending valuable originals.

I would encourage you to get behind this initiative.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about the idea, please contact Hunter at the IMS organisers on ims2018@ynmis.net .

Thank you in advance for your help.
